Search life on the red planet "Mars"

A few early astronomers were certain that intelligent beings lived on Mars. Percival Lowell popularised the idea that the Martians built canals to irrigate their dying planet.
In 1965, the Mariner four probe took the first close-up pix of the pink Planet and revealed a barren and crater-scarred floor more like that of the Moon.
The 1976 Viking mission's poor microbial lifestyles check effects in addition dampened the possibilities of even the tiniest forms of Martian life.
However the current discovery of methane plumes in Mars's environment, a tantalising clue pointing to capacity subsurface existence, has raised the hopes of some professionals.
